My Favorite Things (This Week)

Will you take a look at that. A post that isn’t an apology for my lack of posting. Wowza. I spend a lot of time on the interwebs and when I say a lot, I really mean a lot. So I figured, why not share with you some of the gems I find. Ladies and gentlemen, I’d like to present (what I hope will be) a weekly post titled, My Favorite Things.

Watercolor was probably my favorite medium back in my high school art classes. It was a hobby that I continued during college. I love how the blotches of color dissect the construction of the subject.

I’m a houseplant addict. Without Jeff around, our home would probably look like a small greenhouse. These terrariums are just adorable, aren’t they?

Blame it on the continually gray skies and dirty snow that have plagued the city for the past month or so but this wreath? I covet it. However, I would more than likely hurt myself trying to hang it (I’ve mentioned that I am kind of accident prone, right?).

New music, everyone! The latest album from Ted Leo and The Pharmacists drops March 9. In the meantime, take a listen to “The Mighty Sparrow,” the first single from The Brutalist Bricks. It’s classic Ted Leo, complete with catchy hooks and stellar songwriting. Kudos, Ted (and his band of pharmacists).

New Ted Leo!

If you haven’t seen King of Kong, you probably won’t be as excited by this little bit of news as I am. Congrats, Steve Wiebe!

New high score!
